2017 The Living Nativity Christmas Story

Thank you to all who participated or attended the Live Nativity on Sunday, December 10th.

We are SO happy that so many attended!!!  We had approximately 250 people in attendance, and just short of 200 stayed for dinner!  I think one of the sheep may have stolen the show, but Dominick the donkey and Shawna the camel got a fair share of the attention!!  It seems that a wonderful time was had by all!!

The Live Nativity was hosted by First UMC Lombard, and dinner was hosted by First UMC, Calvary Episcopal, St. John’s Lutheran, and Holy Trinity Lutheran!  Soup options were awesome and everyone had plenty to eat!

A comment from a Mom with a family that attended the Nativity and supper:  “With life being hectic and our schedules not thinning out, it was nice to enjoy some Christmas this evening. Live Nativity and a warm soup dinner, and a walk through Lilacia Park. We had a beautiful Christmas Night. Thanks Pam Lohman and First UMC Lombard.”

A general comment left on our Facebook Page:  “Thank you First United Methodist for reminding us of the REAL reason for the season!!”

Comment from a Dad who doesn’t like attending church events:  “I couldn’t believe how comfortable everything was.  Going inside for supper was not weird or awkward at all!  I had a really good time!”

This beautiful experience was open to the community and  was FREE.
